Motivated we're sure at least partly by an offer of - free beer, the society's table \ at registration did a steady business as worthy candidates paid the minimal fee of $3.00. . c Members of the Executive have ' urged us to remind all concern- ed that the Society is a NON- PROFIT organization, and that all funds generated by member- ship dues and through other sources will revert back to Business Administration stu- dents in,as yet, undisclosed forms. lhJ\NK\DKfi\3LNE\C\BK383K\C\F\Nk‘E\J\NK‘E\3K\C\NK\D\NC\D\3kN\F\F\NK‘K\C\3K‘C\C\F\N\Y FmsT PART‘I or: THE YEAR Hi SEPTEMBER 2| st FROM ACHDO- H.200 em. It has been suggested that the second floor lounge be used primarily as a non-study area. The Society urges students to take advantage of this new . but also stresses that in the event that a majority of the students. using the room feel it would 'best be used for study purposes it will, again serve in that role. The other major changes, pro- bably of more interest to the liquid-motivated students in- volved, concern the scheduled 7 social events for the season. This year, a party for business students will be held ONCE A MONTH, during which, each member of the Society will re- ceive ONE FREE BEER. Admission' prices to these events will also reflect member status. Last year the Bus. Admin. par- ties gained quite a reputation for themselves, for a variety of reasons.“Consequently, this year, the executive has been ' approached by nonrbusiness ma: jors requesting admission to the parties..Considering the interest demonstrated, the Executive has decided to op- en the parties to non-bus. students, upon payment of a specified admisSion price, and until such time as it Sees fit to discontinue this prace‘ tice. All parties this year *‘ will be held on the second- floor of the Barn and will be~ advertised in fUture issues of the SUN, on CIMN and via . posters. On a somewhat more sober note, the Society this year hopes to promote a closer relationship between-the meme bers Of the Dept. of Bus.' _Admin - both raculty and ‘ students, and members of the local busineSs community. This will be accomplished by active membership in the' , Chamber of Commerce, and through a‘series of seminars, the details of which will be announced later. Owing to the large sucess of last year's first Businessman-Stu? dent dinner, plans fOr this ‘ year's event are already in the works and the executive is in the process of booking a guest speaker and making other nec- essary arrangements. f . The first general meeting of the Society is scheduled to " take piace_during the day of Red. sept. 2l in the Kelly Bld- ing. The exact_time, unavail- able at press time, will be :. publicized via posters placed throughout the building. Topics to be discussed include est-' ablishment of a text book pool, election for freshman rep., inf tramural sports and.any topic‘ econsidered by a student to‘be relevant. The EXchtive Urges all Bus. Students to plan on attending what promises to be a brief, but extremely infore
