Half an hour after the fire started the roof fell in and ten minutes later one of the walls fill out into Craig Street and the other street wall into McGill street. Seyeral firemen had narrow escapes, Loss $300,000. The fire wall separating the Greenshields building from the dry goods house of Mclatyre,Son & Co, col- lapsed, and the flames gu'ted the premises of that firm. The.only thing that preven‘ed it from spreading was another lane.
