Canadian Le- gion washeld on Monday evening L with the President, Dr. J. A; Mc- Phee presiding. Twenty new ap- plications for membership were read and approved. A letter from Major Court, Superintendent of Rehabilitation at Charlottetown was read by the secretary. The le ter stated that a veteran of this war who had been installed with an employer in Summerside to learn a business had been let Bo seventy days before end of contract. Although the employer had signed the contract with the Rehabilita- tion Department to keep the vet- eran on for nine months, the de- partment found on investigation that the contract had been broken without cause. A motion was passed to the effect that the Summer-side branch would support the Rehabilitation Department in anv action they saw fit to take in this cue. Mr. D.O. Stewart Chair- man of the sports- committee re ported that the branch intended to have a hockey team this winter. The Charlottetown branch had a team and games would be arran- ged.
