A year ago, we were in the throes of expanding physically and this let: a definite impression on a visitor who saw us only once. Planes Yesterday afternoon. aircraft from the Summerside station. flew over six Island communities and dropped 34,000 leaflets that for six persons who collected the most of these leaflets will mean a thrilling and enjoyable plane ride over many sections of Prince Ed- ward Island in an R. C. A. F. Dakota aircraft. 15,000 of these 0 leaflets were dropped over Charlottetown, 7,000 over summerside and 3.000 each over Souris, I Montague, Alberton. O'Leary. The leaflets contain an invitation to the general public on Prince Edward island for them to attend the Air Force Day pro- gramme beginning at 1.00 p. m. at R. C. A. F. station, Summerside tomorrow afternoon- It also contains the information that the six persons who turn in the largest number of the hand- bills at the main gate on the air station before 2.00 p. m. on Satur- day will lie given a free ride in the Dakota aircraft. This aircraft. withl the contest winners will leave on, gits flight at 3.l5. p. m. Reports last night from the; centres where the leaflets were dropped indicated great interest in the contest and it would appear that the R. C. A.
