HAYS,State Assayer.” Dinections.—-4frtificial Slate : Mix the powder with pure Boiled Linsed Oil and a little Spirits of ‘Turpentine, to the con- sistency of very thick Paint, and apylying with a common Brush, being careful to keep the mixture well stirred while put- ting it on.
