NEIL THOMAS A very deep gloom was cast over Augustine Cove and surrounding districts on April 21st, 1947, iuhen it was learned that one of its eld- est, and most respected citizens had passed on to his Eternal Reward. Although not in the best of health for some time death came without any warning, and on the above mentioned dateihis spirit winged its way to God. The late Mr. Thomas was born on October 22nd.1868. and. was the son of iihe late Philip Thom-as and Rachael Lefurgey. Mr. Thomas was a man that was loved by both young and old and all the little children iorvad to be in his company because he was always cheerful and of a loving nature. At the age of twenty-one years he wont to Sorrierville, Mesa, where he learned the carpenter trade. He than returned to Augustine Cove again where he resided until his death, In his last days he was tenderly cared for by hls eorudin who waited on him till the last.
