Tonlghts presentation will wind up the program for this week and after a few days rest will resume on Monday of next week for two more nights. DELIGMTFUL DANCE. — Last Thursday evening the newly decor- ated Clover Culb was a lovely set- ting for a Cabaret Dance sponsored by the Junior League of the Char- lottetown Hospital. The popularity of this novel entertainment was ac- claimed by the many couples who were present. Mrs. J. F. Connolly, president of the League and Miss Hilda Jenkins, convenor at the danc/o met the guests as they ar- rived and ushered them to their tables. The high light of the even- ing was the floor show. ElLCh num- ber of the show received a wonder- ful applause which brought the artists back for encores. The show was introduced by the Master of ceremonies Mr. Frank Casey. Jini- mie McTaguc was the first perform- cr. l-le gave an excellent imitation of Larry Parks imitating Al Jolson in the songs, “I‘m' Sitting on ‘Top of the World" and "Mammy." October 9th at '7 p. m. a very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of the brides parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cutcliffe, Cape lraverse. ivhen their oldest daughter, Gladys Eleanor was united in marriage to Paul Ramsay, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Dawson, Albany. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Donald Nicholson , uncle of the bride. The bride looked charm- ing in a dress of Royal blue crepe with navy accessories and wore maiden hair fern. She was attended by Miss Doris Dawson, sister of the groom, who wore a dress of grey crepe with black accessories. Her isorsage was of pink roses. Mr, Gordon Cutcliffe brother of the bride capably performed the duties of grooms-man the bride's mother wore a dress of black crepe and s oorsage of red carnations. The groom's mother wore a dress of rose crepe and a corsage of pink car- nsitlons Miss Joyce Nicholson played the wedding music and sang very beautifully “O Perfect Love". Fol- lowing the ceremony the guests were shown to the beautifully decorated dining room by Mrs. Peter Nichol- son where the table was centred by a beautifully decorated wed- ding cake topped by a miniature bride and groom. A delicious supper was servccl to over fifty guests. The toast to lhc bride was proposed by Rev. Donald Nicholson and re- sponded in by the groom. Those serving included biisses Louise Glllls, Eleanor Lord and Beatrice Cutcliffe. Ten was poured by Mrs. Edwin Cmssman and Mrs. Robert Treiiholm. The bride and groom enjoyed a motor trip through Nova Scotiii where they visited Mrs. Jack Donovan, Pictou. For travelling the bride chose a grey phi-stripe suit with navy accessories.
