(YN) Sept. 17 to 19 - The Nova Scotia Environmental Network will hold its fall gathering at the Dorje Denna Ling Retreat (5 km south of Tatamagouche). It will focus on the changing climate of the environment. Contact NSEN at 902-454-6846 for information. Sept. 18 - the autumn leg of the North American Migration Count. Counts must be held on the day and must be contained within a county on the Island. Count results should be forwarded to Dan McAskill (see page 2). Sept. 18 — Field trip to Greenwich with P.E.|. National Park's Nancy MacLauchlin. Meet at the Farm Centre parking lot at 1:00 pm or at the Greenwich Park entrance at 2:00 pm. Please pre-register at 629-1393. Starts at 5:30 pm Sept. 23 to 26 - Canadian Environmental Network Annual General Assembly Oct. 5 - Todd Dupuis will be the Society's guest speaker at the Natural History Society's meeting which starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue. His presentation will focus on the "Community Achievements supported by the New Wildlife Conservation Fund". Oct. 16 - Natural History Society field trip to the east of the Island with visits to Townshend Woodlot and the Naufrage River trail. Our leaders will be Mark Arsenault and Gerald MacDonald.
