The late Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late John Hack- sr, and had three sisters and four brothers, all of whom have prcdecens- ed her, except one sister, Mrs. Reed of Illinois. One brother, Richard, was killed in action at the time of the American War. in 1861. Besides her sister, there are left to mourn the loss oi' a kind and loving mother five daughtersfand two sons: Mrs. Geo. Barlow, Wellington; Mrs. Jas. and Nelson Carew, Hunter River; Mrs. B. C. Cann. Bradulbane; Mrs. Geo. Calm. Manchester, N. H.; George of Brad- .ilbane and James on the hoinstead at Granville. There are also twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildreii. ' The funeral service was held at the home on Monday. May 27th. Her pastor, Rev. L. J. Leart1_ speaking very appropriately from ll. Timothy, 4:7, “I have fought a good iight. I have kept the faith.” After which the body was laid to rest in tho Granville cemetery beside her hug-__ band. who predeceased her by twen- ty-one years. _ MRS. ISAAC DAVID_ There passed peacefully to rest at her home. High Bank, May 17, 1918. Mrs. Isaac David in the 62nd year of her age. The late Mrs. David whose maiden name was Flora McDonald was born in Caledonia and settled iii High Bank with her parents when two years of age. She was a kind and hospitable nei- ghbor whose home was always open ‘.0 the strangers _and the needy. Her death is keenly felt by a wide circle if friends which was shown by 'the large number who came from far and near to pay their last respects to one who endeared herself to all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Angus McDonald and Mrs. George Monk, Quincy, Mass.; Malcolm McDonald, in Almeda, Col.; and Mrs. William B. Donald, Nevada.
