The only strong section was in- dustrials, which gained more than two points. on index and at one point touched an all-time high of 522.10. Base metals were up a few dec- imal points but they lost almost all of their first-hour one point gain. Golds and western oils each closed off a few decimal points. They were ahead most of the ses- sion. The final volume of 4,205,000 shares was slightly higher than Friday's 3,791,000.
