B. Clay’s home that is a great curiosity. lt is par ly covered with slabs. saw- dust and earth; a ience runs along one side this bridge in~ide the railing. There is just room enough for one team to cross. Between the railing and the fence is open water a depth of at least twenty feet, The width between the railing and the fence would make a nice sidewalk. Teams are going to the factory every day with milk heavily loaded, over the slabs and sawdust. It has been like that since1astApril.Thera is another bridge more startling than the former. across Mr. Hayden’s mill pond. The great freshet last March carried away a part of the bridge and it has been in ei dilapidated condition ever since, although the Government have been petitioned by 9. large num-' ber of electors to repair the bridge. llr. l:layden’s mill has been idle also. The road leading to the bridge was openedf twenty-uve years ago and Etteen years ago former Governments granted money 1 o_o the bridge and kept it in repair ever since. So it does not come under the heading of mil! dams, but is a public if oridge._ The public are greiitl in- oonvenienoed and take a' niuch`long`er` road, ahout three milfs over hills and one of these hills would be a credit to the Rockies. By crossing this bridge ’ they would escape the hills.-Traveller; MARRIED. yitThe Manse, Georgetown, on 'thd l 4th inst.. by Bev. A. W. K. Hardman, Charles Stewart, of Lot 54, to Mary MiLeo
