The majority of the Eagles are young players and although small. they are in the best of condition and can stand heavy going. it they keep together and maintain the same spirit which they showed this season, they will be a feared club in one or two years time. Their players stick to hockey for the most part and few. if any of the games. in which they have played this sea- son have been studded with pen- altleit. The Georgetown fans like these in any other community in this Province back their team to the hilt. Members of the Abegwczt team who played against the Bag- les during the past two nights re- marked about the loyalty oi the Georgetown tans. And they also rcmarked about sportsmanship and consideration which those same fans show:-d towards the Ab-gtvclt team while they played in George- town. It. was an attitude that was deeply appreciated. In sport there are always hap- penings and people who urn doing things to make one feel like a mil- lion dollars. Such a thing happen- ed in Georgetown on Monday night between the first and second per- iod when big "Buck" White of Charlottetown strolled into the Ab- 'bies dressing room. Big "Buck" is in the convalescent home of Mon- tague recovering from a serious ill- ness which has kept him sidelined for several years. t I I But that ddn't prevent him from coming over to Georgetown to see the game. During the first and sec- ond perlod intermission he came into the Abbtes dressing room with three packages of gum for the players. It. was 3. magnificent ges- ture from the young man who was once quite an athlete himself and one which won't soon be forgotten.
