Burns had been failing in health for over a year. but: rallied from time to time and two weeks ago was taken more seriously ill. Mr. Burns was born at Sherbrooke. P. E. Island, a son of Abigal and Archibald Burns. For 29 years he has been a resident cf Charlottetown. He was a faithful member of the Bap- tist. Church and took a keen interest in all its activities. He was a most estimable christian endowed with ad- mirable“ qualities of mind and heart that made him a favorite with all who knew him. He was a pattern- maker in the employ of Messrs.
