Councillor James Mac.Dougal1 in his report as chairman oi the police committee, announced the retirement of Constable Joseph Linkletter due to illness. Constable Linkletter has been a member of summeraide Ponce Department since 1027. Councillor Macncugali said that the appointment of Judge Darby to act as Judge oi the Juvenile court is now the subject oi cor- respondence with the. proper au- thorities. and it was hoped that something will be achieved in this respect in the near iuture. Had the rates been increased by l5 percent the revenue would have been about sl.000 more the report said. which would have been suf- ficent to show a small surplus.
