Hon. Frank Oliver, of Ottawif, spe-
cial officer attached to the Board of
Railway Commissioners for Canada
with supervision over grade cross-
ings, arrived in the city Monday
night. He is here to inspect the
lcvel crossings in the main sections
of the province. Hon. Mr. Oliver said
he came east at the instance of the
Minister of Public Works for P. E. I.,
Hon. J. P. MacIntyre. who had re-
quested the commission to send a
representative to consult with them
on matters looking to the eliminat-
ion or improvement of dangerous
crossings in that province.
After completing his tour of P.E.I..
Hon. Mr. Oliver will go /to New
Brunswick, where he will inspect the
level crossings in the St. Leonards-
Edmundston district, complaints on
which have been received.
Hon. Mr. Oliver was ut one time

past months has been crowned with

perseverance, generous enthusiasm.

to the directors interpretation of
these intentions, there muat be, or
the rendition will be dull and lifeless.
But it was evident last night to sv-
ery listener that these things had
been achieved, in full measure. Ev-
eryone! heart and soul were in the
warl¢,' and the result was triumph.
The Creation L1 an oratorio, com-
posed by Franz Joseph Haydn, circa.
1793. It is one of the greatest ach-
ievements by any musician in this
form and is moveover. the work by
which its author will ever be re-
membered. It is replete with lovely
