Island and two from Newfoundland, 3anp Inspecrion.—The two military bands were inspected by Lieutenant-Colonel Worse- ley last evening. inspected in their room inthe Market build- ing, andthe Band of the 82nd Battalion in the Market Hall. Manycitizens were present. After the clothing and instruments were in- spected, each band played several selections in fine style. Colonel Worseley expressed himself as being well pleased with the state in which he found both bands, and with the progress made since last inspection. > New Quarters.—The Merchants Bank of P. E. Island are now doing business in their new quarters in the ‘* Old Bank” building. When the furniture has been put in the directors’ room, and some other details have been attended to, this banking house will be one of the best in the Mari- time Provinces. The ceilings are nice and high and are ornamented with very pretty cornices, and the walls have all been nicely papered. Indeed, the interior of the building has been almost rebuilt.
