The street in front of the office is full of cases and packages, ex. Prince Edward. The public mind is quick to see and seize these points of comparative prosperity, and the more clearly they are perceived the worse for the opposi- tion. We are pleased to note that subscribers to the Weekty Examiner are already coming in with their subscriptions for the coming year. Only one dollar is required ; and we send for one year the largest, cheapest and {we think) best newspaper published in Prince Edward Island. This fact accounts for the promptitude with which onr readers renew their subscriptions. Besides, they find that to pay in advance is best and most satis- factory. The course of Instruction is the same as that of the best Schools in England and is founded upon the University Examinations for Women, Eight young ladies from this School passed the Local Examination of the University of King’s College in June last. This is the only School in Canada that has passed pupils at a University Examination. The number of pupils is limited, rendering the School select, and while it possesses all the educational advantages of a large public school, each pupil is enabled to receive that individual care and oversight which is so important, and which cannot be given ina large establish- ment.
