A woman, named Ann Storey, in the employ of the Railway, while crossing the track with two buckets of water, raw the train approaching. Not having time to get off the track, she stood by the platform, which is about five feet high, and in connection with the freight house. The engMe passed her, but the tox cars, being wider than the engine, jammed tie poor woman against the platform. Dr. Con- roy, being called, found she had three of her ribs, and ccilar bone, broken.
