At present she Le Roi mine emplovs about 14@ men, and when we were there employment was free- ly offered to good miners accustomed to machine working. The regular wages for euch men is $3.50 a day. This means $24.50 a week, for they know no Sunday in these mining camps. As _ very good board may be bad at from $4 to $6 a week, the steady miner, who keeps away from the forty saloons, may do well. It is pro- bable that in September the demand for labor will ceaee, for at that time the pros- pectors will be coming in from the hilis and will want work under grouad for the winter, in order to get money enough te keep them on the hills again next summer. — PERSONAL. The deceased lady was of a most amiable disposition, and was greatly beloved by all who enjoyed the! pleasure of her acquaintance. MeDon- ald assisted by Rev. D. F. McDonald, uncle of the bride. The church was teautifally decorated with roses. A grand dinner at the home of her mother was followed by a pleasant drive to Pisquid, supper and dancing gaiore.
