James Llinkletter, Jr., aged about twenty-four years, was shot in the head by a gun in his own hands. The result-in its sweeping charac- ter-was somewhat of a surprise al- though it was not unexpected that the newly formed Conservative Govern- ment would be sustained. Every mem- ber of - Mr. ‘ Mathieson's -Ex- . ecutive was elected with a. large majority and every district in the Province showed Con- servative gains -and Liberal losses. Berhaps the greatest change was in Charlottetown where for the first time in many years the property holders returned s Conservative to the Local Legislature in the person of Dr. S. R.
