The bag is reported to have con- tained s65 including a fifty dol- lar bill. In describing the snatch- er, the lady estimgted that was a youth about 16 or 17 years of age. She reports that the snatchcr ran East on Water Street and appeared to turn off toward the Railway Wharf. Last Thursday night. a. wo- man's purse was stolen from her on Kensington Road and a week previous to that, another snatch- ing took place on the east end of Grafton Street, near Cumber- land Street. Montague, on November 28, 1953, following an illnim of several weeks. The late Mrs. Mcxenna, before her mar- riage in 1946, was Florence Kelly, daughter of Patrick Kelly and Mary Jane Hynes. Her parents and two sisters pmdeceased her. Early in her life she assumed the responsibility of the home and the loving care of her sister. Margaret. Throughout her lifetime. Mrs. Mcxenna developed trait: of char- acter which endotred her to those who were privileged to know her. she will be remembered particu- larly for her loyalty and devotion to family and friends, her quiet air of refinement. her outstanding intellectual qualities. tnd her alert and pleannt manner. She was I devout member of the Catholic Church, active in her support of church activities, and ready al- ways to lend her talents in pro- mating any worthy interest.
