Some of the reasons why Exhibitions
are held are for the advertisement they
give the countrv in which they are held,
and also to advance education among the
farmers. It is there we see the best live
stock, roots, and grain, that can be bred
or grown in the provinces, besides giving
the farmer a chance to buy seed from the
best farmers. '

exhibit in the prize ring.
Had the committee not over-looked this
matter, there would have been the great-
est display of pigs that has ever been seen
on P. E. Island, as there has been over `
twenty imported to Queens County this
year; and there is as much right for a I
prize to be givenfor a single pig for breed- _
ing purposes, as there is for any other im-
ported live stock. _ I
As we feel that the committee would
like to do ju~ticc to all classes, it is not_
too late to amend these small matters,
and we hope to see it done.
