P. for Queen’s County, George Pippy, of Alexandria, wasfined $20 and costa or two months imprisoument for assaulting Daniel McLellan of the same place. The assault was committed on the 11th December, at the Five Mile House, Pownal. It appears that McLellan and eowe others were in the house drinking, and upon being refused more liquor became noisy’ Mrs. Morrisey, the landlady, called upon Pippy to eject the men, but they went out without any assistance from him. Pippy followed them to the door, and fired twoshots.
