THE remains of the late Miss Clara McLean, whose sad death was recorded in our columns on Tuesday morning were borne to their last resting plat-e yesterday afternoon. QUITE an exciting scene occurred on Great George S*re‘ t,yesterday afternoon. Two elderly gentlemen had fallen out ab out the locatian of a post. One was determined to remove the post and the other was apparently just as determined that the post should be left just where it was located. ~ After an issue of a series of adjectives. both parties, each armed with a shovel, proceeded to where the post was located. The complainant commenced to dig up the post and as fast as a shovel full of clay was removed the_defendant replaced the soil. This went on for some time. but the vigor of the complainant surpassed that of his opponent and finally after an exciting contest the post was removed much to the amusement of the crowd that had gathered.
