The death of Archibald Crawford MacLeod occurred on November 1. 1955. at Maiden Hospital. Mass. He was 72 years old. BANK OF CANADA Opens 1955- The Montague Curling Rink be- an the 1966-56 curling season last night with games being played at 1 end I o'clock on two perfect sheets of artificial too. At' the last meeting approximate- ly two weeks ago. it was decided to start the curling season early in December, and for the mem- bers thie will mean almost four months of curling. Over sixty ac- tive members are enrolled this year, together with 3 number of associate members. The ladies curling club is also an active group with increased membership. and it has been re- ported that approxlmately forty high school boys and girls will be curling under the direction of a committee from the men's group. The president. Mr. Peter Sin- clair. feels assured that this will be a most active and interesting year for the local club, and with several important competiti to be staged in this rink during the coming season it may well prove years in the history of the Monta- gue Club. The club had its beginning back in the 1920'. when a curling rink, a single ice sheet. was built ed- joining the skating rink.
