MIBDONALD Many friends and relatives were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Joseph A. MacDonald, of St. Peter's Lake. in the City Hospital on Friday. May 27, 1955. As he was never in robust health, it became ap- parent to his family that his worsened condition necessitated his removal to hospital. where he spent ten days. and prepara- tions were ln progress for his removal home when news of his sudden death was received. His remains were transferred from the Hennessey Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon. May I, to his former home. where a steady throng of friends and relatives called to leave a last earthly tribute. Joe. as he was more familiar- ly known, was the only son oi the late Angus and Katherine Steele MacDonald and was born in Portland, Maine. 58 years ago. On the death of his mother, Joe and his sister were taken at an early age by their father to the old home at St. Peter's Lake. where he spent the remainder oi his life. He married Marlon. daughter of James and Mrs. Whelan of Morell. After a few short years.
