Egan took place yesterday morning from her late residence, '10 Weymouth St.. to St. Dunstan's Basilica where Requiem High Mass was celebrat- ed by Rev. Francis Corcoran, who also officiated at the grave. The pail-bearers were: Ambrose Joy, George McQuaid, John Lee, Alban MacDonald, Leo Doyle and Lester O'Donnell. Interment took place in the family plot in the Catholic Cemetery. FESTIVE WEEK DANCING - As an innovation this year, the Festive Week Committee has de- - cided in view of the bad weather encountered during last year's celebration that street dancing will be changed to indoor dancing on the main floor of the Armouries. The floor will be specially treated and dances will be held Saturday Monday and Tuesday evenings. A very nominal charge is being made each evening to defray expenses and if any balance is left over, it will be turned in toward the lighting of Memorial Field. IN MEhLORlAM CLIFFORD GLENN MMQUAEBIE The relatives and many friends of Clifford Glenn MacQus.rrie were snoclredand grieved to learn of his sudden and tragic death which oc- curred as the result of a plane crash at Cartwright, Labrador, May 18, 1952. ' Clifford, intimately known to his friends as "Huck", was born at Victoria, Prince Edward Island, Oct- ober 19, 1914, the son of Mrs. Mac- Quarrie and the late Wilfred Mac- Quarrie. Possessed of a haplly and fun- loving disposition, Iiuds was a friend of old and young alike and will be sadly missed but long ne- membered by all who knew him. Prior to the Second World War. he-was engaged in the fishing in- dustry and was active in the oom- muniiy life of his native village. He served in the R.O.A.F. for four years and upon completion of his war services, returned to Vic- toria where he entered into part- nership with hia brother Dcott in the operation of a garage. employed by Maritime Central Air- ways, Charlottetown, ss a. mechanic and was later promoted to night engineer in which capacity he was sewing at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn besides his mother and aunt, Agnes Mallard, on North River Road, and for hav- - In the autumn of 196i he wasi with whom he resided in Char- lottetown, a sister. Mrs. A. C. smith, Maiden, Mass; and the following brothers: William of Wakefield, Mass, Scott, employee of Maritime Central Airways, Charlottetown". and Heath, is professor at Brandon College, Brandon, Manitoba. The funeral, which was very largely attended, was held on Fri- day, May 23rd. Services were con- ducted by Reverend J. Harvey Bishop assisted by Reverend L.S. Woolirey at the MacLean Funeral Home, Charlottetown, and the Un- ited Church, Victoria. Reverend Mr. Bishop spoke very feelingiy and brought words of comforting assurance to the ber- eaved farniiy and friends. Members of the Victoria branch of the Canadian Legion B.ll.'. S. L. attended in a body and the Legion burial service was read at the grave. interment took place in Crapaud cemetery. The pallbearers were: John Knox, William Crawford, James Boulter Jr., Lester Mac?
