Jscldom has news stincd such wide spread sympathy and shocked so deeply L community-as that of the sudden death of Mr. Maurice Daley of St. Mary's Road, which occurred on Thursday afternoon, November 20th. That morning, apparently in his usual health, he had assisted at singing the funeral Mass of a dear neighbour who had also died sud- denly. In the afternoon he went to a store several miles from home to transact some business. While conversing with the storekeeper he complained of not-feeling well, and in a. few moments collapsed and died instantly. As Father MullaJly was at the time absent, Fr. As B. young man he went to I-Iaverhill, Mass, where he spent several years. While there he married Jessie Jameson of Sturgeon. Returning later to St. Mary's Road he engaged in He was I! splendid model of Catholic manhood, a devoted hus- band ancl father, a generous and need of assistance. The final chapter in his earthly career came to a close on Mon- day morning, November 24, when at St. Paul's Church, Sturgeon, a large concourse of people from far and near assembled to pay the last tribute of respect to one, whom all had learned to esteem and revere in life. .
