He held this position until his retirement two years ago. He visited his home town occasionally and was always glad to renew old friendships and make new ones. But these visits were not always happy ones (or 2 years ago he accompanied the re- mains oi his only sister back :- her birthplace ior burial in thc iamily plot in St. Mary's.
