Toronto, March 21. The Legislative last night struck out the vital clause in the bill constituting the pro- fession of architects a close corporation. It was strongly attacked by the Opposition and the Government was left in a minority by avoteof 32to 25. The clause gave power to architects to expel from their body a member guilty of disgraceful pro- fessional conduct. British Politics. Lonpon, March 21. The House of Commons this evening, re- jected, by a vote of 201 to 139, a motion to abolish hereditary representatives in Par- liament, made by Labouchere. The Marquis of Salisbury moved in the House of Lords to-day, that the report of the Parnell Commission be approved of. The motion was adopted without a division. The Orange Bill. Orrawa, March. 21.
