Tun residents of Nile Mile Creek were
very much surprised and their hearts
saddened when the word came to Edmund
MacDougall that his son Duncan had died
in Providence 8.1!. on the llth Nov. He
had worked in that city lor about five
years. Not feeling well he sent word to
his brother Colin who is working in the
lame sity. Hs took him to his own board-
ing house-Hector MacDonaid's also a
native of Nile Milo Creek where he was
given every attention and attended by Dr
Meo0onnell. But kind friends and ii
akiiinl physician oould not turn aside the
messenger death and after an illness of
only about live days he suddenly passed
away. Hia body was brought home by his
brother accompanied by Jas Macliiaiii.
On Saturday the 24th his body was laid ts
rest in the Long Crook Cemetery beside
that of his mother who died about two
years ago. The funeral procession was e
very large one end the services were coli-
ducted liy the Rev D McLean who spoke
from Hsbnwa dth Chapter, lllth verse.
The service in Providence was conducted
by the Rav Dr Hervey of Ubelkilwne Av.
Preshy. Church. The pall bearers were
