MARITIME PROVINCES CROPS -8atisfactory weather conditions during the past week (says Bank of Montreal Crop Report) have re- sulted in further improvement in prospects for crops generally. The season continues to be considerably later than normal, but seeding and planting have been completed. Po- tatoes have made very satisfactory progress and the outlook is good; other roots are doing well. A good crop of hay is in prospect. Pasture lands are in good condition. The set of apples is lighter than pre- moderate. The yield of strawber- ries is good. Rain would be bene- ficial in the Annapolis Valley. but elsewhere moisture is adequate.
