May it Please Your Honor: We, Her Majesty's faithful subjects, the House of Assembly of Prince Edward Island ia Parliament assembled, repectfully thank gour Honor for the Speech with which you have yopened the present esion of the Legislature, aud congratulate your Honor en your elevation to the distinguished positicn which you now occupy in your native Pro- vince. We tenier to your Honor our assurances of our cordial co-operation and support in the dis- charge of the respousible duties entrusted to your care. It affords us much satisfaction to learn that His Excellency the Governor-General and Het Royal Highness the Princess Louise, who visited this Province in August last, Were pleased with the fertility and general appear ance of the Island, and wratified with the loyal and heart: reception given them by ita inhab- itants.
