Boy's work: Our most ImPOII-llli work has been in sponsoring the reorganization of the Boy Scouts Association in Summerside wiui the consequent revival of inter- est in Scouting. There are now two troops of scouts and three Cub packs in active operation, compris- ing more than 100 boys. with sev- eral Y's men in leadership capa- cuies. Our club recently assisted the association in securing new quart- ers for their work and agreed to underwrite the expense in that connection. A successful boy scout Camp was held last summer under the club's auspices,‘0ne of our members trained and led a group of scouts m carol singing on Christ mas Eve, and during scout and guide week we provided refresh- ments for the Scouts and Cubs following their skating party. Spec- lnl credit for the reorganization oi the association goes to our member. Rev. Chas. CarnBBY. who has de- voted a great deal of time, energy aiicl interest to this work and who is now president of the association. We are fortunate in having David Carnegy assccutmaster of one of the troops. Our iiet financial con- tribution last year to Scout work was $774. Community work: Our club has always been an active force ill work for the benefit of the com niunity and the past year has seen the continuance of this type of ser- vice, activities last year under this heading included: 1. Our bathing house was re paired and kept in use from July 28 to September 15th at s cost of $757. A large number of young people took advantage of these fa- cilities. y 2.
