Miss Florence Stretch has returned
to Montreal from a visit to her home
at Long Creek.
Miss Burgess of England is expected
in this City tonight to visit her sis-

The city market was not up to its
usual standard yesterday due to the
incl-ement weather. The produce mar-
ket was very light practically none
being produced for sale. The inside
market was also dull and quotations
remained the same as last market
vday. The pork market is steady.

provemeuts in this city none is more
marked than that of the Morell
House, City, of which William Seller
is the proprietor. It is most not.ice--
able from the fact that it is the ad-
dition ofa magnificent balcony,
which extends along the entire street
front of the building. The change is
it marked one,the Morell House front
being so difierent ss to almost sug-
gest a new building. A string of
electric lights adds still further to
the attractiveness of the front after
the light of day has fi-own. The Mor-
ell is exceptionally popular with its
hundreds of patrons from town' and
country.
