Letters To the Editor... Dear Editor: This letter is intended to hopefully reach the person who makes up the exam schedule at Christmas. I’m in 3rd Yr. Business and last term we had our 3 requires courses exam all in the first 3 days of exams. This seems a little harsh. I can understand if it was a mistake or just picked by the computer that way however, I think we can try to avoid this for all faculties by looking at the schedule manually. Iam not being picky but letting them know they might have madea mistake. Ifthis was a purpose then why? I would really like for it to be improved in the future. TOR: Dear Editor, I never fail to get achuckle when I pass by a pop machine and see thoughs new humerous sign about my bottle belonging to a student bursury fund. How did the author figure this out? Did I and other students not pay for these bottles? Did I miss the ‘‘Bottle refund bursury’’ sometime? I have collected bottlesin | the past and will continue to do so when I need the money. If the author wants to set up arack forthe fund and let students put their bottles in the rack if they choose to do so, them J will not take them. If not, the bottles may end up in my trunk with the others, or in the trunk of some of the cleaning staff (where they have been going in the past). P.O.ed and poor. Dear Editor: I would like to address this letter to those people in charge of the Business Society, and all other Business 4 Society members. Before coming to U.P.E.1., I was told to join the Business Society because I would meet lots of people and because of the great events held. When the time came, I bought my membership and received my t-shirt and little laminated membership card. Sain cp ai aise sl ala lg Dice a aI a As time passed, I began to see signs like ‘‘Bio Club Meeting’’ and wondered whether the Business Society © held meetings and if so why I wasn’t hearing about them. Now, I could be wrong, but is it not necessary foraclub orsociety tohold meetingsoccasionally? — Finally I saw advertisements for a Business cruise. I © though ‘‘Great’’! Thatis, until I heard more. The | cruise was apparently ‘‘Wet’’ only. I’monly18and — therefore ‘‘Dry’’. Would itbe asking too much fora | ‘‘Wet/Dry’’ event? After all, I would guess that many other members are also under drinking age. i i The only other event I heard of was the pub held recently. This happened to occur on a night when I could not attend so I’m not in a position to comment. It’s a step in the right direction, but two activities in one semester is a bit less than I expected. Perhaps there are more activities, but I have not heard of them. They must have been discussed at the ‘‘meet- ings’’ As to the hoards of people I was supposed to have met: the only person who I have met through the society is the person who gave me my membership. | Would someone please inform me as to just what the 7 purpose of the Business Society is? | wouldliketo 7 know, and I’msure many other would as well. Earlier in the year, 1saw a poster complaining about © the lack of membership now I know why. Asit 4 stands, | know I won’t make any efforts to bea member of the society next year.
