The deceased. despite his ad- vanced age was very active until about a year ago when his healtn began to fail however, it was not until a few weeks prior to his home going that he, became bedfast, and as the days passed it was realized by those who attended himthat his earthly journey was nearing its end and that he would soon be with the Lord Jesus Christ whom he had come to know as his Saviour. Redeemer. and friend. The late Mr. MecLennan was born at Hartsville, Lot 30, 81 years ago and was a son of the late Mur- dook and Margaret MacLennan. As a young man he purchased the farm on the Johnstone Road. for- merly owned by Mr. John Mac- Leod where he resided and tilled the soil until the intlrmities of age forbade further labour. The deceas- ed was for many years a faithful and valued member of the Harts- viile Presbyterian Church. It can be truly said that. in all his associa- tions he gave witness to the fact that he had experienced the New Birth. The late Mr. MacLennan leaves to mourn his passing a sot-rowing widow, the former Catherine Jane MacLeod who tenderly cared for her husband during his illness. An ad- opted daughter. rs. Ray Frizzel.
