blinding snovr storm at three o‘clock this
morning the steamer Damera, For-ness
liner from Liverpool, for Halifax, struck

and crew who with three passengers took
to the boats. One of those containing 18
people was in charge of Capt. Gorst, while

sion Sons of Temperance, was held in
Summerfield Hall on the evening of
Thursday, February 2nd. Despite the
very severe weather and the almost im-
