NFORMATION has been received at the Admiralty, that Fog trumpets haVe been placed on Sainer and Cranberry Islands near the entrances to Halifax harbour and the Gut of Can-id respectively. Each blast of these trumpets will be offwe seconds duration, with intervals of twenty seconds, and in calm weather may be heard at a. distance varying from 6 to 10 miles. . West Indies—Gulf of Alexico. Fixed Light at Entrance to 'l‘anipicc River. Also, that a fixed white light has been established at the entrance to Tampico Rivor, and in clear weathershould be seen at a distance of about 15 miles. The tower stands on the north point of entrance to the river, and is said to be in lat. 22° 16’ 45” N., long. 97° 47 West of Greenwich. ' By command of their Lordships, GE‘J.
