Being a war vet- eran, he followed the trade and set uplshop here after the war some years ago. Mr. Rooney is the lone smith with a public shop. Mrs. Mary Sheehan and her daughter Angle. almost lost their lives in a recent fire in Halifax. N. 3., when they were trapped on the third floor of a. burning build- ing. They were rescued by Halifax firemen, Angie being taken whos- pltal where she came to some time later. Mrs. Sheehan is a daughter of John R. and the late Mrs. O'Brien of Bristol, and the younger girl, her daughter, visited here for several weeks last sum- mer.
