Burke's Alleys Charlottetown the
other night when Jarmes Kimball,

Many friends here will regret to
learn of the death' of Mrs. W. A.
Matthie, which occurred in New
York, July 10th. The late Mrs.
Matthie was-Agues Bridges, daughter
of the late Robert Bridges, formerly
of Charlottetown. The remains were
brought to Boston for interment, be-
side those of her father and sister,

here at an early hour this morning
some .cars ran wild and in the in-
cline leading to the wharf came in
collision with a new passenger car
ownedby the K. N. R. Happily th
impact drove this car against a flat
car, lumber-laden, which was hurled
into the river, damaging the boat
owned by George Long. Had the pas-
senger mr not been ln the way noth-
ing could have saved the circus car
from the fate of the flat car, and the
sleeping men occupying it would
likely have been drowned like rats
