S. Hinton, Q.C. in police court here Friday. The accused admitted breaking inte the Summerside Curling Club early Friday morning. He was appreherded at the scene by Constables’ Berry, Champion and MacKinnon of the town force. The police officers went to the curling club in res- ponse to a call about 3.30 a.m. from a nearby resident who said he had heard glass breaking. The accused was found in the boiler room of the building. About a year ago the officers caught three meh in the act of breaking into the club. Two residents of Albany plead- ing guilty to charges of being intoxicated in a public place each drew fines of $20 and costs or 15 days. Deputy Minister Addresses Group At Knutsford , Malcolm MacKenzie, deputy minister and director of educa- tion, addressed a meeting of the ratepayers of Knutsford School District on Thursday night at which a large number was in attendance. Thfs was one of several meet- ings which are being held in the O’Leary area to hear an explanation of legislation re- lative to the formation of Reg- ional High Schools and larger units of administration. The meetings are being sponsored by a committee of interested ratepayers throughout this area. On the same night, a similar meeting was held at Woodstock and was addressed by Merritt Callaghan, supervisor of schools. Regals Edge Rockets 8-5 In Rough Tilt ALBERTON — Fhe, Alberton Regals edged Elmsdale Rockets 8-7 in an exceedingly rough West League hockey game in the Alber- ton rink Thursday night. Ettnsdale was 4-3.in the middle frame, following a 2-all first period, but were unable to maintain their lead as the Regals outscored the Rockets 3-1 in the closing frame.
