ally stayed in a rut.
Tape-watchers detected a better
tone to the share list. On thc sur-
face, however, average final prices
showed little change.
Typical week-end peace prevailed
in most markets. Tumover in the
stock exchange totalled 464,060
shares crmpared with 458,740 last
Saturday, but much of it was in
a handful of issues, notably radio
common.
` With traders marking time await-
ing political and business develop-
ments, the bond market merely held

they have been in speculative favor
for some time because of the rise

preventable suffering from this

flow of gas ceases, and there is no
riak of an overdose.

the patient herself is intended ts
llroduoe not an aeatheaia (loss of all
sensation) but analgesic. (loss of
pain).
Tests at the Welihouse Hospital at
Barnet, at the Liverpool Maternity
Hospital, and in London suggest that
neither mother nor child luthrl the
slightest harm. On the other hand.
shock and pain. are uluallyl much
relieved, if not removed altogether,
and often there il lubleuueat for-
