There was a large at- tendance from the surrounding coun- -try. and the crowds from Charlotte- town were added to aft each of the intervening stations. This tables were spread under e canopy of leaves ln a charming locality near the lona sta- _tion on grounds that were ample for all the amusements provided. A series of sports ws.; pint on in which a very large number took part and for which generous prizes were giv- en. The silver medal donated by Mr. .l. R. Gillis, Jeweler, Grafton Street, for best all round athlete was won by W. Perry, Charlottetown. The tables were bountifuliy supplied and waited on by attractive young ladies and `evory way most enjoyable. The wea- ther tiireatoned somewhat but did not inftorfereniaterinlly with the -pleasure of the immense crowd pres- e-n't.
