Failure to do so will result in the notation “Did Not Write” (DNW) on the student’s transcript. (b) The department will normally require the wiring of a special examination in the case of an examination which was missed. (c) For explanations of sickness, a doctor‘s certificate may be required. (d) A fee of $5 per examination is normally charged. (e) Special examinations are permitted only under exceptional circumstances. Application forms must be completed at. the Registrar‘s Office and approved by the department(s) concerned. ' (2 V RE-READING 0F EXAMINATIONS — (a) Application to have any paper rc-read must be made to the Registrar within one month after recording of results. (b) such an application must be supported by a substantial reason in writing. (c) A fee of $5 must be paid before any paper is reread. 1f the result of the re-reading is a raising of the grade, the fee will be returned to the student. (d) Students who intend to appeal a course grade are cautioned that failing grades have been checked very carefully and, barring a clerical error, appeals seldom result in higher grades. INCOMPLETE SUBJECTS (a) Students who fail to complete all the requirements of a course due to circumstances beyond their control (such as illness) may, WITH THE PERMISSION OF THE PROFESSOR. CHAIRMAN AND DEAN/DIRECTOR, be grated an amount of time deemed reasonable for completion of said course. Permission must be in writing and must be received in the Registrar‘s Officer prior to the recording of final grades. (b) If a student does not complete the requirements of a course within the agreed-upon time, a grade of FNS will replace the INC. INTENT: (l) The grade will replace INC on the transcript.
