winter moorings. When it got under
way with the outgoing-tide it moved

broke away a row boat had left

sea. Their efforts to evade it. were
of no avail and their boat was
caught in the mass and carried out
towards the harbor's mouth. There
was great danger that the boat

to avoid that calamity they had to
jump out, haul the boat on the ice
and drift with it until they had a
favorable opportunity to make a
landing which they did at last at
Murphy’s Point on thetother side of
the harbor. They had a rather risky
.trip and before they landed all had
been in the water more or less. They
finally arrived in this City after
walking from their landing place
around by the Hillsboro Bridge.
