Road Compensation Notice. ‘, HEREAS a Commission, hearing date the 4th day of September inst, now last past, has been issued to us, under and by virtue of an Act passed in the 14th year of the reign of Iler present Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “ An Act to regulate the laying out and altering of Highways,” and an Act in amendment thereof, whereby we are commanded to estimate the damage or advantage that may accrue to those persons whoiare interested in the lands through which a certain new Road is intended to pass, being the continuation of the Little [1111 Road,in Township No. 37,through Patrick O'lIure’s and other farms towards Pisquid New Bridge, and from Clark's bridge to said new line of Roadby avoiding Walker‘s hill, and from the southern end of Worthy’s Road along William hicCannell’s north boundary line to the said Little IIill or Tyholland Road, in Lot 37, aforesaid: Now we do hereby give Public Notice to all persons concerned that we willcommence the execution of the said commission, by attending at the house of Mr. Francis Murray, in Lot 37, on Saturday, the 12th day of October next, at the hour of 11 o’clock in the forenoon, and proceeding along the said intended line of new Road, will complete the said Commission according to law. (‘harlottetown, 3rd September, 1867. l N pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of this Island, mode and passed in the twenty-seventh year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intitulcd “ An Act to consolidate and amend the seve- ral Laws imposing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and for the encouragement of Education,” and also of an Act made and passed in the thirtieth year of the same reign, intituled “An Act to amend the Act relating to Land Assessment,” I do hereby publicly notify the owners or occupiers of Land in this Island, for which the annual Assessment or Assessments charged thereon by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two pence, lawful money of this Island, for every hundred acres of wilderness or unim- proved Lands contained in the Several Townships and the Islands bc- longing thereto; and tho sum of six shillings and eight pence, of like money, for every hundred acres of cultivated or improved Lands in the said several Townships and Islands as aforesaid; and at the rate of nine shillings and two pence, of like money, per hundred acres for wil- derness or unimproved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Royalty of Princetown; and at the rate of six shillings and eight pence, of like money, per hundred acres for cultivated or improved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Royalty of Princetown as aforesaid; and ot the rate of two shillings and six pence, of like money, for each and every Lot in Charlottetown formerly occupied as the Barrack Square, in proportion to area, on the same footing and to the same cx~ tent as Town Lots in Charlottetown; and the sum of four shillings, of like money, for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Town Lot, Common L t and Water Lot grantcvl in the Town and Common of Chur- lottctown; and the sum of six shillings, of like money, for each out every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Char— lottetown; and the sum of four shillings, of like money, for each and every cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the Royalty; and the sum of two shillings and six pence, of like money, for each and every cul- tivated or improved Town Lot and Water Lot in the said Town; and the sum of two shillings, of like money, for each and every cultivated or improved Common Lot as aforesaid; and the sum of two shillings and eight pence, of like money, for each and every uncultivated or unim- proved Town Lot and Water Lot in the Town of Georgetown; and the sum of one shilling and f. or pence, of like money, for each and every cultivated and improved Town Lot and Water Lot in the last mentioned Town; and the sum of three shillings and four pence, of like money. for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Georgetown; and the sum of two shillings, of like money, for each and every cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the lust men~ tioned Royalty; and the sum of two pcncc, of like money. for each and every acre of cultivated or improved Lind in the Royalty of George- town, eallcd Reserved L-inds; and the sum of three pence, of like money, for each and every acre of such last mentioned Lands as may be deemed uncultivated or unimproved Lnnlls; and so in proportion It: a less quantity,—-is payable, that unli $3 the Assessment or Assessments for the current year imposed by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them. be paid into my hands or the hands of any ofmy deputies (as requirtd by law) on or br-fore the Tenth day of December next, I shall proceed against all such Lands as shall then be in urrear for non- payment of the sums charged thereon.
