pleasant call yesterday from Mr. H. C.
MacMillan, Government Engineer, who
was here on an important tour. Yester-
day forenoon he inspected Wilmot
Bridge which has recently been com-
plated, and pronounced it a first: class
piece of work in every particular. He
says the work has been done in strict
accordance' with the plans and specifi-
cation and to his entire satisfaction. Mr.
Lamont, the veteran contractor, has
added another 'leaf to his laurels in
doing honest and faithful work. This
bridge is now in a very much better
_ condition then ever before, which must
I bevery gratifying not only to the con-
tractor but to inspector John B. Curtis.
