      Foundation
      for
      Educational
      Exchange

      Canada

      the
      United
      States
      launches
      into
      its
      second
     
     
      year
      of
      operation
      as
      one
      of
      the
      130
      countries
      which
     
     
      engages
      in
      bilateral
      ‘Fulbright
      Scholar’
      exchanges
     
     
      with
      the
      United
      States.
      The
      Fulbright
      program
      -
     
     
      named
      after
      J.
      William
      Fulbright,
      the
      well-known
     
     
      former
      Democratic
      senator
      from
      Arkansas
      -
      is
      the
     
     
      largest
      academic
      exchange
      in
      the
      world,
      with
      more
     
     
      than
      167,000
      participants
      since
      the
      program
      began
      in
     
     
      1946.

      the
