Evidence was taken in the case of a Souris resident charged with setting a trap within ten feet of a muskrat den, Judgment was withheld and will be given at Georgetown on January loth, 1952. The offences were committed at New Perth and Black Pond. The cases were in- vestigated and prosecuted by ihe Fish and Game Supervisor. HORTON On October 17th. 1951. there was s great feeling of loss when friends and rural box-holders on the Charlottetown - Johnston's River mall route heard of the passing of William Horton after a short illness. He -had carried the rural mall over the same route for 40 years and had never missed a day through illness. Very few storms deeply loved nnd respected by all who had associations with him and his over chccrlul way was known to all. To the box holders he had become part of their life. He was the eldest son of the late John Horton and his wife Mary Ann seely, He was born at Johnston's River 61 years ago. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother at Johnston's River. his wife the former Elinor Webster cf Charlottetown and a brother John S. of Beihel. P. E. I.
